Job DescriptionJob DescriptionAxios Professional Recruitment is partnered with a Tier 1 Automotive company in Smithville, TN, who is actively looking to hire a Senior Financial Analysist. The Senior Financial Analyst will support all accounting functions across the facility. This role will have oversight of weekly, monthly, and yearly financial compliance responsibilities.Responsibilities:
- Maintain the accounting functions in compliance with SOX and Corporate Policy.
- Prepare and input month end journal entries.
- Prepare monthly reconciliations of balance sheet accounts. Investigate and resolve reconciling items.
- Track and analyze capital spending of plant engineering projects from inception to capitalization
- Assist in preparing expense trackers for forecasts, weekly flashes, and annual operating plan (budget).
- Maintain CIP and Fixed Asset Inventory including coordination of Fixed Asset Physical Inventories in compliance with policies.
- Tag control for the annual physical inventory.
- Control intercompany balances and resolve any out of balance issues when closing the books
- Monitor and assist in the resolution of open accounts payable and accounts receivable issues
- Support month-end close process by reviewing data, preparing journal entries and developing analyses.
- Ensure financial reports accurately reflect financial performance in accordance with GAAP and Tenneco’s policies.
- Support the business planning processes (strategic plan, annual operating plan including sales and cost of sales, and periodic forecasts).
- Support cost reduction projects; including analysis, tracking and monitoring.
- Create and deliver various analyses including but not limited to sales and profitability.
- Supply audit documentation and analyses as requested.
- Ensure internal audit processes and controls are operating effectively.
- Participate/Lead finance process improvement projects.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
- 5+ years financial analyst experience, preferably in a manufacturing facility
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and develop improvement strategies when needed.
- A broad understanding of manufacturing processes, Cost Accounting, problem solving and the application of GAAP and FASB practices to manufacturing operations.
- Experience with Microsoft Office required.
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment and meet demanding deadlines.
- Ability to set goals and deliver timely and accurate results for self.
- Ability to conduct research and provide effective recommendations.
- Communicate effectively with other functional areas and all levels within the organization.
- Excellent leadership and team skills.
- SAP Experience (PREFERRED)
