Sr. Analyst and Logistics Specialist

Tobyhanna, PA

Brown Technologies Incorporated seeks a highly skilled Sr. Analyst and Logistics Specialist to join our team. The role involves providing professional engineering and logistics services related to packaging, storage, and containerization for the U.S. Army Sustainment Command Packaging, Storage, and Containerization Center (ASC PSCC) at the Tobyhanna Army Depot (PA). Responsibilities include conducting in-depth studies, analyzing data, and performing engineering evaluations and testing services for the Department of the Army, Department of Defense (DoD), and other Government agencies. The ideal candidate should have at least 8 years of related experience and expertise in relevant regulations and specifications, such as ASTM Volume 15.09, ASTM D 4169, ASTM D 4919, and HAZMAT Regulations (49 CFR).

Responsibilities include:

  • Conduct in-depth studies, analysis, and technical data development for the Department of the Army (DA), Department of Defense (DoD), and other Government agencies.
  • Pass safety tests related to shipping containers (e.g., drop, stack, vibration, leak, hydrostatic tests).
  • Design and apply new packaging techniques.
  • Evaluate unique packaging materials.
  • Test hazardous materials (HAZMAT) containers.
  • Plan, assess, and document transportation demonstrations.
  • Develop Special Packaging Instructions (SPI) following MIL-STD-2073-1E.
  • Support the Army Enterprise System Integration Program (AESIP) and the Stock Readiness Data Portal (SRDP).
  • Provide recommendations for packaging system improvements.
  • Submit monthly status reports and prepare briefings and presentations.
  • Comply with security and privacy requirements for Department of Defense-Tobyhanna (TYAD) IT procurements.
  • Travel to higher headquarters, other service agencies, troop installations, symposiums, and conferences worldwide.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Clearance Required: Secret
  • BS/BA and a minimum of 8 years of experience in related field. Equivalent experience may be substituted for a degree.
  • Understanding and experience in applying regulations and specifications, such as ASTM Volume 15.09, ASTM D 4169, ASTM D 4919, and HAZMAT Regulations (49 CFR)
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Initiative-taking, self-motivated, and able to work under minimal supervision.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office.
