Position Summary:

AAA United States, Inc. has partnered with a company in Windsor Locks, CT that is a world leading manufacturer of business aircraft with a global network of service centers. They are committed to building their products with the future in mind – making them reliable and more efficient, while contributing to highly favorable operating costs. They masterfully design private jets and signature moments through an extensive portfolio of innovative products. The facility has received 21 consecutive FAA Diamond Awards and is actively involved in the Hartford community, spearheading programs to create awareness about aviation maintenance among local students and to help close the gender gap in the industry. We are looking for skilled Structure Technicians to assist with this client's production needs.


The Structures Technician troubleshoots, repairs, and performs maintenance on customer aircraft. Performs and documents all work performed per appropriate manuals and regulations as required.


Essential Functions:

• Troubleshoot, repair, inspect and perform maintenance on customer aircraft

• Fabricate and or modify structural modifications on aircraft parts

• Perform minor structural repairs on composite components either attached or detached

• Assist in conducting hidden damage inspection of aircraft structures

• Assist with complex structural repairs either on or off aircraft

• Assist with aircraft component repair

• Remove / install aircraft components as required

• Comply with environmental health and safety policies/procedures

• Participate in 5-S activities

• Perform work in a safe and timely manner

• Perform and document work performed per appropriate manuals and regulations as required

• Operate ground support equipment as required

• Assist with mechanical / electrical removals and installations as needed

• Assist with maintenance at off-site locations as needed

• Assist with towing aircraft as needed

• Assist with other maintenance disciplines as needed

• Adhere to the customer's General Work Requirements for factory, shop and/or hanger positions

Requirements:

• Have received training from a sheet metal aircraft technical school or have equivalent schooling

• Have at least 4 years of Corporate aircraft structural sheet metal repair / modification experience

• Have the ability to interpret and work with mechanical engineering drawings

• Have the ability to effectively communicate in both written and verbal form on individual and / or aircraft status

• Own a basic set of hand tools with the ability to demonstrate Inventory and control of tools

• Have the ability to obtain appropriate Ground Support Equipment (GSE) qualifications as required

• Able to work unscheduled overtime including nonscheduled workdays and holidays

• Able to work in seasonal/inclement weather outside

• Have the ability to obtain a Security Identification Display Area badge (SIDA) if applicable

• Have an A Certification, A&P Certificate or Repairman Certificate (preferred)

• Have basic PC skills
