The Sales Manager (Men's & Women's) for 7 For All Mankind is responsible for achieving sales targets and customer profitability. Sales Managers will possess in-depth knowledge of the apparel industry/denim industry and is responsible for developing effective customer relationships at all levels.
What Will You Be Doing?
1. Responsible for achieving financial sales targets as provided by management, through exceeding customer profitability goals and seasonal plans
2. Create and negotiate seasonal financial vendor sales and receipt plans by account to help forecast and manage internal budgets and projections
3. Analyze retailers Open to Buy in order to identify challenges and opportunities, and strategize plan of action with trend changes or delivery shifts
4. Accurately update company Monthly Forecast by account/store/channel, identifying risks and opportunities in sales and margin
5. Manage accounts, understand sales trends, inventory positions, account targets and profitability
6. Project and manage markdowns and promotional activity
7. Partner with Regional Coordinator team to optimize sales at the store level
8. Develop and nurture relationships with account buying and planning teams
9. Collect and analyze weekly retail selling; Identify best sellers and business drivers; work with manager to ensure inventory is available to drive sales
10. Understand market trends, competition and overall state of the business, and communicate internally
11. Manage shipments, returns, terms, chargebacks, discounts, co-op, advertising and markdown allowance for accounts
12. Responsible for management and development of Account Executives and Sales Assistants
13. Drive retail sales through identifying key business opportunities with accounts (re-orders, swaps, issues, etc)
14. Create tailored account assortments by channel and tier of business to present to accounts during market
15. Ensure market orders and EDI’s are in house by due date for timely shipping
16. Develop and execute sales plan to profitability liquidate excess inventory
What Do You Need To Bring?
· Years of Related Professional Experience: 5-7+ years in premium sales
· BA or BS degree in Sales, Marketing, Business, or related field
· Advanced knowledge of Retail Math, Retail Plans and Profitability, Problem Solving
· Experience and knowledge in financial open to buys, retail math and strong analytical skills
· Must be able to travel by road and air, overnight stays, and work some weekends when needed for market or account visits
· Demonstrated ability as an individual thinker and collaborative team player
· Creative, assertive and solution-oriented when faced with obstacles
· High level of accuracy, detail oriented and strong organizational skills
· Demonstrated creativity and ingenuity in developing successful strategies for business growth
· Highly effective communication, leadership, interpersonal, negotiation and presentation skills
· Strong project planning skills and project management skills
· Must be highly proficient in Retail Math, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook
