The Blake School is looking to hire an imaginative, caring and talented Learning Specialist to support second through fifth grade students beginning in the 2024-25 school year.


The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with elementary students, experience implementing best practices in instruction for students with learning differences, such as Orton Gillingham (or related curriculum), the Writing Revolution (or other research-based approaches to writing instruction), the Concrete Representational and Abstract (CRA) approach to mathematics, and the assistive technologies that support the learner in these areas. A deep understanding of neuropsychological evaluations is a key aspect of this role. This candidate will also be eager to work with classroom teachers and families to support students with learning differences and will possess strong oral and written communication skills. This is a 1.0 FTE position on the Blake campus in Hopkins, MN.


Blake's Upper Elementary offers students in grades two through five a challenging curriculum in a supportive and nurturing environment. Expert classroom teachers and specialists provide engaging learning experiences where students feel valued, welcomed and safe.
