We are looking for an organized and efficient Maintenance Technician to keep our properties in immaculate condition. Our Maintenance Technician would be responsible for completing work orders, turning vacant units, and ensuring the communal sections of the facility meet the company's standards of safety, appearance, and functionality. For the occasional urgent maintenance request, this role may require evening and weekend work. Compensation:

$22 - $30 hourly

Responsibilities:
  • Assist in maintaining the physical condition and general upkeep of each community
  • Thoroughly complete assigned work orders with quick turnaround time
  • Prepare make-ready apartment homes, including patching, painting, cleaning, rekeying, and general repairs
  • Maintain community grounds such as breezeways, laundry facilities, parking areas, trash/recycle bin areas, pet stations, and controlled access buildings to keep areas clean, operational, and safe for all residents and guests
  • Oversee service providers and vendors when professional services or repairs are necessary
  • Assist in regular inspections of the community, including but not limited to bait station checks, and 6-month preventative maintenance inspections (PMIs)
  • Follow up on unresolved customer service issues to ensure resolution and resident satisfaction
  • Promptly and professionally respond to after-hours emergency calls as needed
  • Ensure all workspaces and utility rooms are clean, orderly, and safe
  • Perform supplemental landscape maintenance as needed to ensure that common areas are properly maintained
  • Remove snow and ice when and where applicable during in-climate weather
  • Perform maintenance projects and tasks with minimal supervision consistent with company policy and direction from the supervisor
  • Communicate issues and roadblocks with a solution-focused mindset
  • Provide excellent customer service to all residents, prospects, and guests
Qualifications:
  • Must be capable of lifting and moving up to 50 pounds independently and up to 100 pounds with assistance on a regular basis
  • Proficient in electrical work, plumbing, appliance repair, carpentry, and painting to maintain operations effectively
  • Skilled in providing exceptional customer service to residents in a friendly and professional manner
  • Demonstrates a willingness to learn and enhance knowledge and skills in a collaborative environment
  • Must be enthusiastic about achieving challenging goals
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
  • Displays a positive attitude, strong character, and integrity
  • Ready to go the extra mile to ensure tasks are completed correctly
  • Must have a valid driver's license
  • Willing and able to commute to job sites within the Tacoma area
  • Proficient in speaking, reading, and writing English to fulfill job duties effectively
  • Successful completion of background check and drug screening is mandatory
  • Eligible to work in the U.S. per I-9 guidelines
