Position Overview

This position will support the Bank’s Special Assets Sr. Manager by assisting with various tasks and responsibilities within the Special Assets department. The Specials Assets Assistant will provide courteous customer service to customers both internal and external. This position will also update special assets spreadsheets, various memos, and assist in monitoring the loan portfolio through various reports. The position may be asked to attend customer calls and communicate with the Bank’s legal counsel.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Consistently delivers outstanding client service; providing premiere client satisfaction with a friendly demeanor, can-do attitude, and willingness to help at all times.
  • Acts as a cultural ambassador to internal and external clients, providing a professional, exceptional, and supportive experience with each interaction.
  • Updates and monitors various special assets spreadsheets and reports.
  • Tracks and follows up on monthly charge off payment plans.
  • Assists with the Bank’s charge off portfolio.
  • Manages the Bank’s Legal Process (levies, garnishments, subpoenas, etc.) as it pertains to Special Assets.
  • Manages the various Life Events (death, divorce, etc.) as it pertains to Special Assets.
  • Manages the Bank’s past due Visa credit cards.
  • Assists with SBA paperwork for defaulted SBA loans.
  • Assists with quarterly Special Assets meeting.
  • Assists with internal and external audits and examinations.
  • Assists with liquidations and managing the Bank’s OREO properties.
  • Other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

  • 1 year of banking experience (front or back office)
  • Strong working knowledge with Excel
  • Special Assets experience preferred
  • Working knowledge with credit and deposits preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field preferred
