We are actively seeking a skilled and experienced attorney with a focus on construction and litigation, ideal candidate must have 3-5 years of relevant experience in both state and federal court proceedings. Bankruptcy experience is an asset.

Responsibilities:

The attorney will be engaged in a diverse range of legal activities, including but not limited to:

  • Drafting demand letters
  • Drafting opinion letters
  • Drafting construction demands
  • Drafting court documents including pleadings, discovery, and motions
  • Conducting and defending depositions
  • Performing legal research
  • Participating in hearings
  • Communicating with opposing parties
  • Participating in settlement negotiations
  • Engaging with prospective clients

Requirements:

  • Experience in Construction and Litigation (4-5 years preferred)
  • Bilingual — proficiency in English and Spanish
  • Know how to e-file in state court and federal court (as a backup to the paralegal)
  • Familiarity with LEDES billing
  • Licensed in the state of Florida
