Job DescriptionJob DescriptionNorth Slope Telecom, Inc (NSTI), is looking for designers work closing with our Telecom Engineers to draft design drawing packages for our customers that adhere to and maintain standards, document control. The designers will also be responsible for working with engineering team to performs and/or oversees work concerned with designing, implementing, and coordinating new and existing telecommunications systems and subsystems.


Responsibilities:
• Consult with engineers and designer to determine requirements of detailed drawings in production.
• Work from rough sketches and specifications created by engineers.
• Complete layout and production of 2D or 3D CAD design drawings from written and verbal instructions by engineering staff.
• Assemble project documentation packages and drawing sets according to drafting standards to be checked by engineers.
• Review drawings for completeness and accuracy.
• Complete required daily paperwork (timesheets, PRs, daily reports, etc.)
• Ensure safety measures are met through industry standards and company specific training.
• Any other work for which you have the skills and ability to perform that furthers the goals of NSTI, and meets the needs of its customers

Skills Required:
• Familiar with and trained for computer aided design programs
• Ability to interpret current drafting standards
• Solid ability to interact with computers and computer systems (including hardware and software) to program, input changes, set up functions, enter data, or process information.
• Demonstrate knowledge & understanding of drafting site drawings, block diagrams, schematics, detail diagrams, wiring diagrams, fabrication details, and assembly drawings.
• Ability to impart comprehensible information to others about how devices, parts, equipment, or structures are to be fabricated, constructed, assembled, modified, maintained, or used.
• Initiative to keep up-to-date with drafting technology and applying new knowledge to your job.
• Detail oriented

Education and Experience Required:
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Proficient with drafting and project software (AutoCAD preferred)
• Telecom experience a plus.
