Job Description
The Data Analyst will join our quickly growing data team responsible for creating the infrastructure and tools to deliver insights to the rest of the organization. Our analytics platform generate over 30 million rows of data per day, and it is the data team's responsibility to provide context, clarity and to make the data actionable. The Data Analyst will work with Business Operations to understand needs, deliver standard re-usable reports, and perform ad hoc analyses as necessary.
Responsibilities
- Optimize Analytics Efficiency: Proactively identify areas for improvement within our data analytics processes. Recommend and implement solutions that enhance efficiency and effectiveness across the organization.
- Leverage Technical Expertise: Utilize your SQL expertise along with knowledge of various data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker, PowerBI) to elevate our data analytics capabilities and deliver actionable insights.
- Conduct A/B Testing: Design and implement A/B testing experiments, drawing on your understanding of analytical events to uncover insights that inform business strategies. Experience with event-driven data streams will be advantageous.
- Strategic Data Advisor: Act as a trusted advisor to cross-functional teams by leveraging data analysis to provide actionable recommendations that drive informed decision-making and align with our long-term business goals.
- Consultative Approach: Partner with business stakeholders to translate their needs into well-designed tools, metrics, and dashboards, fostering a culture of data-driven decision-making.
- Innovative Collaborations: Engage closely with product teams in a data mesh environment, moving beyond traditional reporting to address complex challenges and develop innovative data solutions that propel business growth.
- Stay Current with Trends: Continuously monitor industry trends and emerging technologies in data analytics. Explore new methodologies and tools to drive innovation, ensuring our BI practices maintain a competitive advantage..
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in business intelligence, data analysis, or a related capacity.
- Proficiency in SQL for data querying and manipulation, along with experience in Snowflake and data warehouse operations.
- Hands-on experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Looker, or PowerBI.
- Familiarity with database technologies, such as Redshift, Snowflake, and Postgres.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment.
- Austin, Texas based or willing to relocate.
