The Worship Leader is responsible for overseeing and leading worship at his/her designated location in alignment with the values and vision of Destiny Christian Church. The Worship Leader shepherds and develops worship team volunteers and others involved in the ministry and assists in duties required to prepare for weekend services and special events.

• Lead worship for weekend services and special events as assigned
• Recruit, shepherd, develop and care for the location worship team and volunteers
• Assist with Worship Planning in specific venues as required
• Coordinate instrumentalists, vocalists and other artists
• Perform weekly duties and rehearsals necessary to facilitate worship in services and special events
• Provide volunteers with necessary resources to prepare for and execute worship services
• Maintain an authentic and growing walk with Jesus Christ through the ongoing spiritual disciplines including Bible reading, prayer, personal worship, fasting, confession and fellowship
• Strive to improve personal and professional skills by looking for and participating in learning opportunities

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree or equivalent in music, worship, etc., or equivalent applicable experience
• Prior successful experience as a worship leader or volunteer at a church with weekly attendance over 500
• A clear testimony of faith
• Demonstrated excellence as a worship leader and musician; relational and technical skills required to enthusiastically lead various environments including a large church in worship
• Skilled vocalist and musician
• Skilled in vocal and instrumental direction
• Ability to lead others as well as a strong team player
• Skilled in the use of software and technology in worship, such as Ableton, Logic, ProPresenter, Pro tools, etc.
• Takes direction well, skilled in organization, administration and interpersonal relationships
