Job DescriptionJob DescriptionAre you a compassionate and highly skilled Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with a passion for pediatric care? We are looking for a dedicated Pediatric RRT to join our dynamic team, where you will play a key role in providing critical respiratory care to children and infants in a fast-paced healthcare environment.Position: RRT PediatricsLocation: Memphis, TennesseeSchedule: Night (3x12 hours) 19:00 7:00Duration: 13 Week ContractUnit: RRT Pediatrics RespiratoryWhat You'll Do:s a Pediatric RRT, you will use your expertise to assess, treat, and manage pediatric patients with respiratory conditions. You will collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver life-saving treatments and ensure the best outcomes for your young patients.   • Assess, monitor, and treat pediatric patients with respiratory and pulmonary disorders, including those requiring mechanical ventilation, oxygen therapy, and airway management.
  • Administer respiratory treatments and therapies, such as aerosolized medications, chest physiotherapy, and bronchodilator administration.
  • Collaborate with pediatricians, neonatologists, and other healthcare providers to develop individualized care plans for each patient.
  • Perform and interpret diagnostic tests, such as arterial blood gases (ABGs) and pulmonary function tests (PFTs), to evaluate respiratory status.
  • Provide emergency respiratory care in critical situations, such as neonatal resuscitation and pediatric trauma.
  • Educate patients and their families on respiratory conditions, treatment plans, and at-home care practices.
  • Ensure accurate documentation of respiratory care provided, including patient assessments, treatments, and progress notes, in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.
  • Monitor and maintain respiratory equipment, ensuring its proper function and availability for patient care.
  • Adhere to infection control protocols and safety guidelines to protect patients, staff, and yourself.
Requirements:
  • 2 years RRT experience with travel or 3 years’ experience with no travel
  • Compact or TN License at time of submittal
  • Must live at least 100 miles from facility
  • COVID-19 Vaccine
  • Flu Vaccine
