Job Title: Director of Nursing (Home Health Agency)

Overview
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Director of Nursing to join our home health agency. As the Director of Nursing, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of clinical operations, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care, and maintaining compliance with regulatory standards. This is a leadership role that requires strong managerial skills, clinical expertise, and a passion for improving the health and well-being of our patients.

Responsibilities

1. Leadership and Management:
- Provide strategic leadership and direction to the nursing team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Oversee the recruitment, hiring, and training of nursing staff, ensuring adequate staffing levels to meet patient needs.
- Develop and implement policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure efficient and effective nursing operations.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback, coaching, and support to nursing staff.

2. Clinical Oversight:
- Ensure the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based nursing care to patients in their homes.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, therapists, and social workers, to develop and implement comprehensive care plans.
- Monitor patient outcomes and satisfaction, identifying areas for improvement and implementing initiatives to enhance quality of care.
- Provide clinical guidance and support to nursing staff, including assistance with complex patient cases and clinical decision-making.

3. Regulatory Compliance:
- Stay abreast of federal, state, and local regulations governing home health agencies and ensure compliance with all applicable laws and standards.
- Oversee the accreditation and certification process, ensuring that the agency maintains compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to monitor compliance with policies, procedures, and quality standards.

4. Financial Management:
- Collaborate with the administrative team to develop and manage the nursing department budget, ensuring efficient use of resources and adherence to financial targets.
- Identify opportunities for revenue growth and cost savings, and develop strategies to maximize profitability while maintaining high-quality care.

5. Professional Development:
- Promote a culture of learning and professional development within the nursing team, providing opportunities for ongoing education and skill enhancement.
- Stay current with developments in nursing practice, healthcare technology, and regulatory requirements, and ensure that nursing staff are trained accordingly.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) preferred.
- Current registered nurse (RN) license in NJ
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience, with at least 1 years of leadership experience in a home health or similar setting.
- Strong clinical skills and knowledge of best practices in home health care.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to manage teams, set priorities, and drive results.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and accreditation standards for home health agencies.
- Commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.
