Job Description- Lead and perform downstream process development for large molecule based products such as gene therapy and vaccines within the API-Large Molecule group
- Conduct cell culture/5L bioreactor experiments and purification experiments for cell gene therapy
- Leading and participating in design of experiments
- Executing the planned experiments
- Optimizing purification process steps
- Data analysis for early and late stage products
- Lead design and execution of the development studies to identify and determine process parameter ranges for purification process steps.
- Take a lead role to transfer process from development to GMP clinical and commercial manufacturing.
- Record and analyze experimental data
- Verify data integrity and accuracy
- Report/summarize findings to the project team
- Write technical documents.
- Experience supporting downstream process development for AAV production
- Perform general laboratory tasks related to aseptic manipulation processes and pipettes
- Perform aseptic cell culture and support vector generation activities, including cell passaging, transfection/infection and harvesting
- Keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies.
- At least a bachelors degree in a scientific concentration such as Chemistry, Biochemistry and/or Biotechnology
