AMFM Healthcare is looking for an Education Coordinator to add to our team for our adolescent specific behavioral and addiction healthcare facilities called Mission Prep. The Education Coordinator is a liaison between the school districts’ of enrolled clients and their families.

They will be professionals responsible for ensuring that clients are equipped and able to attend their schooling remotely through teleconferencing platforms that are HIPAA and CCPA compliant. Education Coordinators will participate in the program further such as facilitating 1-2 groups per week centered around their areas of expertise, and be proficient in documenting the progress of clients in terms of their educational milestones and achievements.

Light tutoring duties and familiarity with core curriculum from elementary to high school academics across multiple states is the final key element of proficiency for Mission Prep Healthcare’s Education Coordinators.

Job Type: Full time, hourly.

Location: In person at our residential facilities in Bonsall, CA.

Compensation: $25.00 - $30.00 /hour.


QUALIFICATIONS:

The Education Coordinator will be familiar with a variety of educational modalities and have a thorough understanding of the client population (adolescents aged 12-17 with mental health and/or addiction issues.)

  1. Minimum Qualifications – Bachelor's degree in education or related field, 1 year in an education related environment.

  2. Preferred Qualifications – Master’s level in education or related field with a teaching credential. The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of experience in an education related environment.

  3. Passion for helping individuals suffering from mental health and substance use disorders.

  4. Exceptional communication competencies, able to effectively leverage highly developed interpersonal skills in order to coordinate between clinical, leadership, program, family, and schools.

  5. Excellent conflict resolution, crisis intervention, conflict resolution, de-escalation, and staff training skills.

  6. Technologically skilled with demonstrated proficiency in Electronic Health Records, GSuite, and collaborative documents.

  7. Work in a faced-paced environment; make independent decisions, communicate effectively when dealing with clients, families, staff, and other stakeholders of Mission Prep Healthcare.

  8. Refined and well-organized multi-tasking skills and in-depth problem-solving abilities.

  9. Must be able to complete and pass a state approved criminal background check prior to hire in addition to passing the ADP Selective Screening Services background check.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Create, track, and maintain metrics about attendance, reach, and effectiveness of programs.

  2. Develop educational and informational skills for clients undertaking their learning journey.

  3. Monitoring clients online activities and appropriate use of technology, being a valuable custodian of Mission Prep resources and equipment.

  4. Assure that the development, coordination, implementation and evaluation of all educational programs presented on site are aligned with the requirements of clients and in consideration of the Mission Prep values.

  5. Document the educational progress of each client in Mission Prep’s electronic health record, noting each individual's achievements, struggles, mental status and insight gained.

  6. Monitor and ensure compliance with each client's remote learning contract terms and conditions.

  7. Provide supervision of students at all times during the duration of classes and programs, extending to the release of students to guardians. Maintain the highest possible degree of safety.

  8. Provide feedback and updates on the progress of each client's educational goals and status during weekly clinical staffing sessions, integrating effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team of professionals.

  9. Assess and adapt the learning environment depending on the individual needs of the client during their course of treatment at Mission Prep.

  10. Proficiently facilitate education related groups for clients based upon the needs of the current population.
