Within GA Telesis, the People Operations Department supports the total operation in meeting its goals through its most valuable resource PEOPLE.  People Operations is seeking a Human Resources Assistant to aid and help facilitate the human resource processes across the company. This position provides administrative support to the human resource function as needed, including record-keeping, file maintenance, and front desk operations. This role will support the GA Telesis headquarters in Fort Lauderdale. Reporting to the Global Talent and University Partnership Manager, the ideal candidate will use their interpersonal, and organizational skills to assist the human resources team to complete their day-to-day tasks.
  
Responsibilities:

  • Assist with all internal and external HR-related inquiries or requests.
  • Complete E-Verify and verify I-9 documentation for new hires.
  • Submit new-employee background checks and drug test requests.
  • Assist with recruitment and interview process as needed.
  • Assist with new-hire orientation processes.
  • Maintain Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) records, ensuring data accuracy through self-audits and reports.
  • Makes photocopies; mails, scans, and emails documents; and performs other clerical functions.
  • Provide backup for reception staff during breaks, lunch, and vacation days.
  • Maintain cleanliness of conference rooms and ensure workstations are prepared before start dates and after exits.
  • Schedule and coordinate Intern and HR events.
  • Complete project-based work as needed.
  • All other duties as assigned by your manager.

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field a plus.
  • Knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
  • Proven ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Ability to organize, prioritize tasks and work independently.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn HRIS and talent management systems.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • SHRM-CP or HR courses a plus.
