Job Description:
PART-TIME 48 hours per pay period (clinic 8:30 am-4:30 pm + admin time if needed)
Experience practicing Radiation Oncology with a strong record (or an excellent recent graduate)Demonstrated practice-building experience is preferred
Possible leadership opportunity and the ability to build the practiceFunctions as a member of the clinical patient care team performing tasks and procedures consistent with the training and licensure of a Medical Oncologist/Hematologist
Practice Setting: Outpatient at Free-Standing Cancer Center - BEAUTIFUL FACILITY
Reason for coverage: Physician retirement/relocationsMost benign Hematology is referred out as we are focusing on getting new solid tumor diagnosis seen timely (within 1 week of referral).
Demographics for this area are roughly 20% Hematology, 80% Oncology.Number of Physicians in Practice: 3 currently
Will There be Radiation Oncologists Present? Yes
How Many APPs Provide Coverage: 2 currently
Average Number of Patients Per Day - OUTPATIENT (Clinic/Office): 10-15
Average Number of Patients Per Day - HOSPITAL (Call/Rounding): Only when patients are admitted for inpatient chemo
Trauma Level/Designation (Hospital): III
Required Duties: participation on a Tumor Board, orders tests, orders images, prescribes
Administration of Chemotherapy: by Physician
