About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Medical Assistant to join our team in Liverpool, NY. As a Medical Assistant, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and support to our medical staff. Your primary role will be to assist physicians and nurses in the examination and treatment of patients, while ensuring that all medical records are accurately documented and maintained. You will also be responsible for performing various administrative tasks, such as answering multi-line phones, scheduling appointments, and managing electronic health records.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of a Medical Assistant program
  • Certification as a Medical Assistant
  • Proficiency in electronic health records and multi-line phone systems

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Medical Assisting or related field
  • Experience working in a medical office or hospital setting
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish

Responsibilities:

  • Performing vital signs and medical assisting duties
  • Assisting physicians and nurses in the examination and treatment of patients
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date medical records, including electronic health records
  • Answering multi-line phones, scheduling appointments, and managing patient inquiries
  • Demonstrating critical thinking skills to identify and resolve patient care issues

Skills:

As a Medical Assistant, you will utilize your skills in vital signs, medical assisting, electronic health records, multi-line phone systems, and critical thinking on a daily basis. You will work closely with physicians and nurses to provide exceptional patient care and support, while ensuring that all medical records are accurately documented and maintained. Your ability to communicate effectively with patients and medical staff, as well as your attention to detail and organizational skills, will be essential to your success in this role.
