POSITION SUMMARY
The Cafe Manager at The AdmiralHotel is to oversee and coordinate the operation, planning, organizing, training, and leadership necessary to achieve Guest Satisfaction, revenue and cost goals of the outlet.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
While no job description can possibly provide a comprehensive list of job duties, the following is a summary of the major responsibilities for the position.
Operational Management: Oversee daily operations of Le Cafe, ensuring smooth and efficient service. Monitor inventory, manage orders, and maintain a high standard of cleanliness and organization.
Customer Service: Deliver an exceptional Guest experience by greeting guests, taking orders, and addressing any concerns promptly and professionally. Develop an ever-increasing roster of return Guests/regulars
Staff Supervision: Hire, train, mentor, and schedule baristas and support staff. Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback.
Quality Control: Ensure all beverages and food items meet the hotel's quality standards. Implement and adhere to health and safety regulations.
Sales and Promotion: Develop and execute strategies to increase sales and enhance guest satisfaction. Create promotional offers and specials in alignment with seasonal trends and guest preferences.
Financial Management: Handle cash transactions, process payments, and manage the daily financial reporting. Monitor budgetary expenditures and strive to meet revenue targets
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Supervise a team of support staff, providing guidance, support, and feedback.
Properly schedule staff according to the Café/Hotel needs
Responsible for accurate and timely submission of payroll items
Resolve staff conflicts and performance issues in a constructive manner.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education / Experience
High School Diploma or equivalent required
A minimum of 1 year food and beverage supervisory experience required.
Skills
Ability to multitask and adapt to different business paces throughout the day
Basic computer skills
Proven management and leadership skills
Excellent communication skills with guests, team members, and management
Proficiency in restaurant POS and Inventory management

Equipment to Be Used
Coffee shop equipment
Bakery equipment
Basic office administrative equipment (computer, keyboard, telephone, copier, fax, etc.)
Restaurant POS system
Food and beverage service equipment, including but not limited to: hand cart, food service tray, general food service equipment
Cleaning equipment, including but not limited to: broom, mop, mop bucket, cleaning chemicals
Physical and Mental Requirements
Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move up to 30 pounds and occasionally lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move up to 50 pounds
Position self in order to obtain necessary supplies and efficiently clean assigned areas
See clearly both near and far (to detect cleanliness and discrepancies)
Hear at a basic level and communicate with coworkers and guests
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
Ability to work well under high-stress conditions with changing variables
Ability to apply patience and understanding to all persons and situations
Ability to perform well under pressure to meet the needs of guests, team members and/or management
Work Environment
Ability to regularly work weekend shifts
The work environment includes high guest contact; may involve varying conditions and circumstances with guests, staff, visitors, etc.
Ability to work in temperatures of varying degrees
