Responsibilities:

  • Take ownership of software architecture across the group, ensuring consistency and alignment with best practices
  • Support each subsidiary and product team with their AWS software architecture requirements
  • Ensure the Architectural Decision Records process is followed appropriately across all teams
  • Collaborate extensively with the DevOps, backend development, and data engineering teams to ensure architectural needs are met
  • Provide guidance, thought leadership, and mentorship to development teams to build cloud competencies
  • Participate in all aspects of the software development life cycle for AWS solutions, including planning, requirements, development, testing and quality assurance
  • Maintain a strong focus on security, ensuring all architectural decisions uphold the highest security standards
  • Stay up to date with the latest AWS services and technologies and ensure their appropriate adoption within the group


Requirements
  • 5 years of experience architecture, designing, developing, and implementing cloud solutions on AWS platforms
  • Deep understanding of Amazon Web Services, Software development lifecycle best practices, Systems architecture, design and development, Infrastructure-As-Code (Cloud formation)
  • Good understanding of Version Control tools (Git, GitHub), Test-driven development, Containers and Cluster Managers (Docker), Database architecture, ETL, Big Data, Machine Learning, Advanced Analytics, Agile principles, processes and tools
  • Bachelor's degree (or above) in Computer Science or a related subject
  • AWS certifications.
