In this role you will:
 
  • Assign and organizes work priorities by effectively directing workflow within their offices.
  • Ensure supervised MAs adhere to all New York Cancer and Blood Specialists (NYCBS) policy and procedure.
  • Guide all other Medical Assistants with the operation and functionality of all Hematology Instrumentation.
  • Oversee the training and competency of the Medical Assistants.
  • Complete all lab documentation with accuracy and consistency necessary for all laboratory inspections, including regular state inspections.
  • Assist with the work quantity and quality of the office, ensuring that quality is priority.
  • Work with management to develop department goals which align with organizational priorities and goals.
  • Assist with the drawing of patients
  • Assist in all responsibilities supervised MA staff provides such as, phlebotomy, processing and requisition completion. 
  • Guide all other Medical Assistants with properly processing of specimens.
  • Process Specimens i.e(Flow requisitions, Labdaq  Requisitions, spinning of blood and bagging of specimens)
  • Provide regular feedback to Lab Leadership to improve office workflow and efficiency.

We require:
 
  • A Medical Assistant Certificate and a High School Diploma at least 3 Years of experience
  • Bilingual, English/Spanish speaking preferred
  • Proficiency in Word/Excel

Hours: Monday–Friday and alternating Saturday
Salary up to $22 per hour.
