Database Analyst (C. Advanced)

The selected applicant will be expected to perform some combination of the following tasks:

1. Provide Oracle database administration inclusive of data design/modeling, monitoring, and performance tuning.

2. Provide MS SQL database administration inclusive of data design/modeling, monitoring, and performance tuning.

3. Provide SQL programming inclusive of stored procedures, functions, triggers, SSIS packages, scheduled jobs, and linked servers.

4. Provide configuration management (TFS administration) for SQL database objects.

5. Provide change management in a code promotion role in partnership with development team.

6. Provide configuration management for SSRS reports and associated database objects.

7. Provide analytical services on systems to implement user-defined requirements.

8. Provide analytical services on systems to identify operational efficiencies.

9. Facilitate collecting system requirements with the business program staff.

10. Produce work estimates to implement user-defined requirements.

11. Perform testing on system changes to meet user-defined requirements.

12. Facilitate user acceptance testing (UAT) with the business program staff.

13. Produce status reports on the implementation of user-defined requirements.

14. Produce accounting of hours worked by tasks.

15. Provide analytical services on FWC IT processes to identify operational efficiencies.

16. Follow FWC IT processes and coordinate with other FWC IT staff to ensure compliance with FWC standards.

17.. Provide maintenance and support by applying updates and/or upgrades to database infrastructure environments.


Qualification Requirements

1. Oracle-related

a. Four or more years’ experience with Oracle Database Server.

b. Four or more years’ experience as Oracle database administrator inclusive of data design/modeling, monitoring, and performance tuning.

2. MS SQL- related

a. Seven or more years’ experience with MS SQL products inclusive of MS SQL 2008.

b. Seven or more years’ experience as MS SQL database administrator inclusive of data design/modeling, monitoring, and performance tuning.

c. Seven or more years’ experience with SQL programming inclusive of stored procedures, functions, triggers, SSIS packages, scheduled jobs, and linked servers.

d. Seven or more years’ experience with SQL relational databases, OLTP and DSS, serving in high performance, service-oriented, multi-tiered environments.

e. Three or more years’ experience with configuration management (TFS administration) for SQL database objects.

f. Five or more years’ experience with database design tools.

g. Five or more years’ configuration management of SSRS reports and associated database objects.

3. Enterprise platform-related

a. Five or more years’ experience in change management best practices, serving in a code promotion role in partnership with development team.
