Job DescriptionJob DescriptionSMS Staffing Inc is Hiring Immediately for a skilled Laboratory Technician Sr Job Title: Lab Tech SrJob Location: Sturgis, MI, U.S.A. 49091Job Type: Contract (possible extension or convert to hire)Pay: Starts at $22.00 an hourShift Structure: ONSITE, 3:30 PM - 12:00 AM, Monday to Friday, 40 hours per weekThe role of the Laboratory Technician Sr:
  • Responsible for testing the necessary raw ingredient, in-process, and finished product as prescribed in the various quality procedures and assuring specifications and quality guidelines are met.
  • Testing for release of product to manufacturing for further processing, filling, and finishing.
  • Obtain and test environmental samples for compliance to specifications outlined in the Lab Methods Manual.
  • Responsible for producing the highest quality results while operating within the constraints of the manufacturing schedule and safety guidelines.
About the Laboratory Technician Sr:The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:
  • At least 1 year relevant experience
  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree with at least 2 semesters of Chemistry and Math
  • Must have basic analytical laboratory skills
  • Has good understanding of Algebra and Math
  • Must be flexible and able to adjust to a fast-paced and constantly changing environment
  • Has good communication skills
  • Must be a team player
