Job Title: Inspector/Trainer

    • The salary range for this position is $40,000 to $55,000, however starting wage will depend on qualifications, skill, and experience.

Job Summary:

Inspector/Trainers at RCI play a highly visible role as they interact with clients on a constant basis. The position requires a professional presence, excellent verbal and written communications skills, and knowledge of all aspects of RCI operations. A person in this position is responsible for annual inspections and training sessions for new installations as well as existing clients. Timely recording and reporting is a must. Must be comfortable presenting to large groups and introducing new RCI technologies and products to clients. Extensive travel is also required for this position.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Conduct training for Inspectors, Operators, and Operator Trainers at both RCI and client locations worldwide as needed

  • Conduct client safety inspections per RCI training and inspection guidelines utilizing all RCI resources

  • Communicate inspection or training results to Training, Audit, & Inspection Manager

  • Develop and maintain excellent relationships with clients and RCI internal departments

  • Provide immediate feedback to clients and the Compliance Manager regarding compliancy issues

  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of all RCI products including requirements for the integrity of the structure, elements, and safety equipment and all applicable RCI policies and procedures

  • Provide feedback regarding newly implemented policies and/or procedures

  • Work to improve standard operating procedures for inspection and training implementation as required

  • Maintain detailed records associated with inspections and training ensuring that all data is entered in an accurate and timely manner

  • Communicate effectively and enthusiastically with a diverse range of personality types during training sessions

  • Work independently and be a self-motivator

  • Meet goals and work within specific timeframes

Knowledge/Experience/Personal Specifications:

  • Teaching and/or training experience

  • Approximately 90% travel is required (domestic and international)

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field

  • Managerial experience a plus

  • Superior interpersonal and communication skills

  • Comfortable working at heights exceeding 30 feet

  • Ability to climb any portion of a product structure to access inspection locations

  • Ability to utilize any required personal protective equipment

  • Ability to lift more than 50 lbs

  • Computer skills including word processing proficiency and familiarity with the Google suite

  • Highly organized with exceptional problem-solving skills

  • Effective time management in fast-paced, multi-tasking environments

  • Ability to perform all tasks with confidence, precision and strong attention to detail

  • Maintain a clean driving record

  • Currently possess or can obtain a passport

  • Experience and/or certificates in one or more of the following areas is not a requirement but a plus:

  • RCI products

  • Challenge courses and/or zip lines

  • ASTM building standards

  • AIMS Level 1

  • NAARSO Level 1
