This role is essential for managing inventory, supporting stockroom operations, and ensuring efficient stock handling.

Job Description: As a Stock Team Member at Global Partners, you will be responsible for assisting with inventory management and stockroom operations. Your role will involve receiving, organizing, and maintaining stock to ensure that all items are processed accurately and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

Inventory Management:

  • Receive and inspect incoming stock, ensuring accuracy and quality of items.
  • Organize and categorize inventory in the stockroom for easy access and retrieval.
  • Label and document stock accurately, maintaining up-to-date inventory records.

Stock Handling:

  • Support stock rotation to ensure older items are used or sold first to minimize waste.
  • Prepare and stage items for transfer to the sales floor, ensuring they are properly packaged and labeled.
  • Assist with restocking shelves and maintaining organized displays on the sales floor.

Operational Support:

  • Conduct regular stock counts and assist with inventory reconciliation to maintain accuracy.
  • Report any discrepancies, damages, or issues with stock to management promptly.
  • Maintain a clean and organized stockroom environment, including routine cleaning tasks.

Team Collaboration:

  • Work effectively with team members to achieve stockroom goals and maintain high service standards.
  • Participate in team meetings and training sessions to stay informed about stockroom procedures and company policies.
  • Assist colleagues with various tasks and projects as needed to support overall warehouse operations.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a stockroom, warehouse, or retail environment is preferred but not required.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle physical tasks, including lifting and moving stock.
  • Proficiency in using stockroom equipment and basic computer applications.
  • A positive attitude with a commitment to maintaining an efficient and safe work environment.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends if necessary.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications in stock management or related fields are a plus.
