Line Supervisor

Job DescriptionJob DescriptionWe, LPFP – Statesville a Leggett & Platt company, are searching for a 2nd Shift Line Supervisor to help support our Carpet Underlay business in Statesville, NC. We have been manufacturing carpet underlay for over 30 years and are considered a full-scale recycler. As a 2nd shift Line Supervisor you will report to the Plant Manager and 2nd shift Superintendent and will have the overall responsibilities of the production on our Finishing Line. Your responsibilities include directing the work efforts of our partners in meeting production requirements and maintaining customer satisfaction and quality while working safely.
 
What you will be doing?

• Ensure the Finishing Line partners are provided with the necessary tools to perform their daily task.
• Oversee line production, product quality, employee safety, and machine maintenance, as well as work alongside partners on the Finishing Line.
• Manage workflow by planning, monitoring, and executing targeted job results.
• Initiate action to prevent the occurrence of any nonconformity related to product, process and/or the system.
• Identify and/or record any problems relating to the product, process and the quality system.
• Exemplify a co-operative attitude to work effectively with others.
• Encourage safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel.
• Ensure compliance with company policy and procedures.

• Proven Supervisory experience in Manufacturing Environment.
• Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
• Strong leadership, communication, problem solving and analytical skills.
