Pediatric Developmental Services (PDS) is seeking to hire a full-time Personal Care Attendants (PCA). Are you passionate about helping all students reach their potential? Personal Care Attendants responsibilities:

  • Provide instruction: Assist students with reading, verbal skills, orientation, mobility, and job skills based on their Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals.
  • Assist with daily living: Help with feeding, dressing, medication, toileting, hygiene, and specialized seating/mobility equipment.
  • Collaborate with professionals: Communicate with teachers, therapists, and health care experts to evaluate student progress and implement IEP goals.
  • Implement learning plans: Reinforce educational, social, and visual concepts.
  • Model appropriate behavior: Demonstrate social skills and cultural sensitivity.
  • Utilize technology: Ensure active participation using assistive devices and personal technology.
  • Monitor student schedules: Maintain a safe and positive learning environment.
  • Ensure student safety: Remain with the student and respond to emergencies as needed.
