Job Summary:

We’re looking for Residential/ Direct Care Staff 1 to work at our Gándara Addiction Recovery Program (Hairston), establishing open communication, support, and accountability among workers and consumers. The Residential Staff is accountable to the SUD Program Manager, who is responsible for providing supervision and training. The Residential Staff is one who actively promotes the philosophy of the SUD Program, and maintains a high level of commitment to the program. This individual will respect the dignity of each individual through vigorous promotion of the human and civil rights which, in part, strives to keep people free from abuse or neglect and recognize that ethnic and cultural diversity of each individual must be valued and respected.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • To implement each client's individual Level Plan objectives under the direction of the Clinical Supervisor and Direct Care Supervisor.
  • To accurately log all required documentation.
  • Responsible for acting as a "Staff Advocate" for one client.
  • Necessary to meet overall program and agency goals, and provide support to management and program staff.
  • To work as a cooperative team member and to be a positive role model for clients.
  • To assist clients in carrying out daily tasks and responsibilities including cleaning, cooking, maintenance, and laundry. To willingly perform these tasks when clients in a fair and consistent manner.
  • To plan and organize a variety of appropriate recreational and social activities.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Previous work in related field dealing with youths preferred.
  • High school Diploma
  • Needs to have a valid Driver's License.
  • Bilingual Preferred (Spanish/English)
