Job Summary:
As a Med/Surg Registered Nurse in our Emergency Department, you will manage and oversee patient care, ensuring effective coordination and communication among the healthcare team. This role requires a proactive approach to patient assessment, care planning, and response evaluation to achieve optimal outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough clinical assessments and prioritize patient and family needs.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans, adjusting as necessary to achieve desired outcomes.
- Build and maintain professional therapeutic relationships with patients and their families.
- Advocate for patient needs and maintain ethical standards in care delivery.
- Educate patients, families, and community members, empowering them with knowledge to make informed healthcare decisions.
- Collaborate with colleagues and the broader community to develop comprehensive care plans.
- Utilize problem-solving strategies effectively to enhance patient care.

What Will Make You Successful:
- In-depth knowledge of nursing and patient care standards and procedures.
- Understanding of relevant laws, regulations, standards, and guidelines.

Qualifications:
- Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- License/Certification: Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, or ability to obtain BLS within 30 days of hire.
