We are looking for a Preventive Maintenance Supervisor for the Hotel that will oversee the maintenance and safety of the facility, equipment and oversee daily administrative operations.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Manage the daily operations of the maintenance department ensuring compliance, safety, and best practices for corrective and preventative maintenance procedures are followed including accurate completion of the preventative maintenance program.
  • Oversee Maintenance by tracking work hours, maintaining work orders for all maintenance/project work, managing material purchases used in maintenance/project work.
  • Analyze, diagnose, and recommend correction for Company and Customer equipment problems and breakdowns.
  • Responsible for work performed to be done in timely manner and is coordinated with any department that it might affect with the least amount of disruption to our customers or employees.
  • Establish, implement, train, and monitor maintenance guidelines for the maintenance teams, including safety on the job and preventative maintenance.
  • Supervising and leading all maintenance processes and operations.
  • Complete quality audits of technician work tasks and communicate results.
  • Tracking expenses and overseeing the budget for maintenance.
  • Maintaining all machinery to ensure it's at working standards.
  • Creating and implementing maintenance procedures.
  • Prioritize and delegate department workload and ensure that the utilization of the department resources is maximized.
  • Develop and maintain a strict preventative maintenance program.
  • Coordinates Housekeeping, to ensure that all operational processes are followed and manages special projects as assigned.
  • Inspects to ensure that quality maintenance processes are followed.
  • Ensures timely verbal and written communication and recognizes and rewards excellent performance in the moment as possible.
  • Identifies process/procedural improvements that will lead to greater efficiency and effectiveness of operations and cost cutting initiatives.
  • Plan work, schedule staff and vendors, supervise work order execution.
  • Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.

 

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

 

High school diploma or related equivalent experience. Must have general maintenance experience, preferably from a hotel. Must be able to work in an environment with exposure to secondhand smoke and high noise levels. Basic understanding of or ability to quickly learn the equipment and facilities to be maintained. Ability to maintain basic records and warranties. Ability to understand written directions in manuals and on manufacturer websites. Able to use sound judgment, work independently, with minimal direction. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Able to perform a variety of duties, often changing from one task to another of a different nature, with impending deadlines and/or established timeframes. Performance of job duties will require standing, walking, lifting(up to 50-70 pounds), reaching, pushing, pulling and grasping.
