Position Overview:
As a Maintenance Technician, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the physical infrastructure and equipment of our substance abuse detox and residential facility in Emlenton, PA as well as our Halfway House in Butler, PA. You will be responsible for performing routine maintenance tasks, addressing facility repairs, and ensuring a safe and clean environment for our residents and staff.


Responsibilities:


  1. Conduct routine inspections of the facility to identify maintenance needs and safety hazards.
  2. Perform preventive maintenance tasks on building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
  3. Respond promptly to maintenance requests from residents and staff, addressing issues in a timely and efficient manner.
  4. Repair and troubleshoot equipment and machinery to minimize downtime and ensure optimal functionality.
  5. Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment, and reorder items as needed.
  6. Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and protocols, including proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials.
  7. Assist with facility renovations and upgrades as directed by management.
  8. Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, repairs, and inspections.

Qualifications:


  1. High school diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical training in maintenance or a related field is preferred.
  2. Proven experience in facility maintenance, preferably in a healthcare or residential setting.
  3. Strong knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
  4. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  5. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as part of a team.
  6. Good communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with residents, staff, and external vendors.
  7. Basic computer skills for record-keeping and communication purposes.
  8. Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
