Position Overview:

A Dealer Trade Driver is responsible for facilitating the exchange of vehicles between our dealership and other automotive dealerships, ensuring a smooth and efficient process. This position requires strong organizational skill and a commitment to exceptional customer service.

Driver must be "On Call". This position is not full time but only on an as needed basis with schedule flexibility.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Vehicle Transportation: Safely and responsibly transport vehicles to and from other dealerships for trade-ins, purchases, or exchanges.
  • Inspections: Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles before and after transportation, documenting any damage or issues and reporting them to the appropriate parties.
  • Documentation: Complete all required paperwork accurately, including vehicle condition reports, mileage logs, and trade documents.
  • Scheduling: Coordinate transportation schedules with dealership personnel, ensuring timely pickups and deliveries.
  • Customer Service: Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with dealership staff and customers during the trade process.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Ensure that assigned vehicles are properly maintained and serviced, reporting any maintenance or repair needs promptly.
  • Safety: Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety policies while operating company vehicles.
  • Communication: Maintain clear and timely communication with dealership management and dispatch to provide updates on transportation progress.

Qualifications:

  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • At least 21 years of age.
  • Previous experience in a similar role is a plus.
  • Knowledge of and adherence to traffic laws and regulations.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Pay Information:

Pay will be $.30 per mile or a $50 minimum trip payment.
