Givens Highland Farms, a premier nonprofit life plan community in Black Mountain, is hiring a PRN Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Home First team. This is a meaningful and vital position where you positively impact the lives of our residents, visitors, and fellow team members every day. We are focusing on availability to support our team every other Monday as well as some weekends, working 6:45am - 3:15pm. We understand the importance of a healthy work-life balance, so we collaborate with you to offer flexible scheduling where possible.

This position is primarily for Givens Highland Farms, but have flexibility to support Givens Estates if needed.

What you'll do:

  • Provide services and treatments to Home Care clients, always following the plan of care and/or tasks delegated by the Home Care RN
  • Communicate client changes to the RN to assist with the assessment, implementation, and evaluation of the Care Plan
  • Assist with the development and implementation of care plans, under the RNs supervision
  • Maintain chart documentation in an appropriate timeframe, always striving for accuracy, while utilizing applicable software to do so
  • Support the Life Plan Community by responding to independent pendant calls as needed
  • Communicate changes in a resident's condition to the RN on duty
  • Maintain confidentiality and privacy of any PHI per HIPAA requirements

What you'll need:

  • Must be currently licensed in the State of North Carolina as an LPN
  • Previous experience in geriatrics/long-term care is desired, while not required

Qualified candidates must be a North Carolina Licensed Practical Nurse

Compensation is $28.00-$32.00 (LPN) $32.00-$36.00 (RN) per hour based on experience, plus shift differential, and a $1500 sign on bonus.
