Job Summary

This intern position will be a key player in our manufacturing team in our Rexburg manufacturing facility. You will have the opportunity to see the principles you are learning about in a real-world application.

Main job role will be technical writing and other food science related project work as required to improve our food safety programs.

Responsibilities

1. Responsible for assisting in planning, coordination, and execution of specific tasks pertaining to assigned projects. Work is carried out under supervision of manufacturing and quality department leadership.
2. Apply food safety principles to assigned tasks including but not limited to reading and updating technical documents, and executing smaller projects.
3. Accountable for assisting in planning, coordination and execution of lab and plant tests and experiments as needed for the project.
4. Accountable for providing and maintaining written test documentation, analytical results, and other pertinent information.
5. Responsible for timely and effective communication of project activities to superiors and to internal customers, including department and facility managers and project team associates.

Education and/or Experience

Must be a currently enrolled Student in a Food Science program.

Bi Lingual in Spanish is preferred.

This position is in Rexburg, Idaho. Situated along the western edge of the world-famous Rocky Mountains, Rexburg has all the features of small-town living. Our skyline consists of the majestic Teton Mountain Range, and in our backyard is the world's most famous park - Yellowstone.
