POSITION OVERVIEW

 

The Driver picks up aircraft components and delivers to the workshop in a timely manner to ensure work flow is not interrupted and then serviceable units are returned promptly to customers.


GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Pick up and deliver freight to and from the airport in a safe, efficient, timely and legal manner. 
  • Hook and unhook trailers; secure freight; install and remove tire chains as required by weather, tarp and un-tarp freight if operating flat beds.  
  • Administration including, completing serviceable and unserviceable labels, pickup and delivery books, temporary WO’s, vehicle logs.
  • Load and unload trailers and perform lifting, pulling, pushing and carrying freight. 
  • General maintenance and care of vehicles.
  • Ensure that all operations are in compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Additional duties as assigned.


QUALIFICATIONS


  • Valid Driver’s License or CDL-A (as required).
  • Experience driving a 53’ tractor/trailer (if applicable).
  • Forklift experience preferred.
  • Driving experience.
  • Meet all standards (medical, safety, etc…) required.
  • Knowledge of applicable Motor Carrier Safety Regulations.
