We are seeking a skilled Diesel Tech II to join our team. The Diesel Tech II will be responsible for performing basic mechanic activities, assisting with advanced mechanic activities, and maintaining shop cleanliness. The ideal candidate should have a strong work ethic, be detail-oriented, and have a passion for mechanics.


Responsibilities:

• Perform basic maintenance such as oil changes, lube, filters, brakes, etc.

• Perform minor diagnostics.

• Assist with clutch/suspension replacement and fix drivelines.

• Repair multiple systems such as cooling, oil, DPF.

• Perform minor engine repair.

• Perform DOT inspections.

• Maintain job records of parts inventory and serviced vehicles.

• Attend trainings to stay up-to-date with the latest technology and techniques.

• Pickup and organize tools & equipment.

• Sweep/clean floors after job completion.

• Dispose of waste/used products (oil, antifreeze, steel, etc.).

Requirements:

Requirements Competencies:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a mechanic role.
  • Ability to perform basic and advanced mechanic activities.
  • Ability to maintain job records of parts inventory and serviced vehicles.
  • Ability to attend trainings to stay up-to-date with the latest technology and techniques.
  • Ability to lift 75lbs and walk 10,000 steps per day on a regular basis.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.


Preferred Competencies:

  • Demonstrated competencies with basic mechanical tasks
  • Obtained CDL or openness to obtain
  • Demonstrated competencies with welding/fabrication
