Responsibilities

The Pipe Layerwill operate an excavation machine to install the main sewer and water lines. In a timely matter with quality workmanship.

• Must be willing to learn and follow safety measures, be a self-starter, open to continual learning, follow directions, and work well as a team
• This position requires speaking with homeowners while in the field so you must be comfortable talking with people you do not know and be able to articulate problems or concerns.

Job requirements

• A minimum of 1 year of heavy equipment operation preferred
• 3-5 years of residential water and sewer line repairs and replacements preferred
• Trenchless water and sewer experience is a plus
• A demonstrated interest in the residential plumbing industry.
• Class A CDL in VA or CDL learners permit and can obtain Class A license within 90 days.
• Must be able to operate an excavator at the professional level.
• Assist in the installation of underground piping.
• Load, unload, and secure equipment on transport trailers according to DOT guidelines.
• Experience in working with open trenches and deep trench equipment.
• Effective and professional communication skills.
• Clean driving record - no more than 1 moving violation in 3 years
• Clean background check and acceptable work/character references.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
