QC Inspector

Position Summary: 

This positions responsibility is to provide support to the machine shop and production personnel by reporting dimensional inspection information as required. This is performed by using measuring and test equipment to accurately measure machined, manufactured and purchased items.  

Job Description:  

Essential Job Functions:   

• Perform dimensional inspections of machined components. Perform 1st article (first piece), final and receipt inspections of items and components. 

• Communicate effectively with machine shop personnel and managers. 

• Maintain inspection lab’s function and performance, maintain M&TE (Measuring and Test Equipment), lab kept neat and orderly. 

• Assist as necessary in other dimensional measurement verification projects. 

Essential Job Requirements: 

• Proficient use of all hand measuring equipment. Essential shop math skills. CMM (Coordinate Measurement Machine) programming knowledge preferably. 

• Must be proficient in interpreting and understanding mechanical drawings. Proficient knowledge of GD&T (Geometric, Dimensioning and Tolerancing). 

• Computer skills in Microsoft (MS) products.  

• Attention to detail and accuracy.  

• Reliable and dependable.  

• Experience and ability to follow company policies and procedures.  

Qualifications and Education Requirements:  

• High school diploma or GED. 

• At least one year of prior QC inspection experience within a tight-tolerance environment.
