Position Overview:
Our team is currently seeking a driven and detail-oriented Day Porter to oversee the daily operations at one of our prestigious client sites in the Mt Vernon area. The ideal candidate will have a drive for excellence and keen attention to detail, with a desire to lead and train both day and evening crews to ensure strong teams on all shifts. You will play a critical role in maintaining the quality of work performed by our teams and ensuring continuous adherence to high standards. Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and lead the day porter and janitorial services at the client location.
• Train and mentor day and evening crews to build strong, cohesive teams.
• Oversee the quality of work performed by the day porter crew and evening janitorial staff, ensuring continuous adherence to high standards.
• Monitor inventory levels of janitorial supplies and place orders as needed.
• Maintain regular communication with the client, responding promptly to requests and ensuring exceptional customer service.
• Handle emergency clean-ups and restocking needs as they arise.
• Utilize floor swing machines effectively for various cleaning tasks.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or relevant certifications are a plus.
• Must have reliable transportation to and from site.
• Proven experience of janitorial, day porter or similar experience in a professional large facility setting preferred.
• Proficiency in operating floor swing machines and other janitorial equipment.
• Excellent organizational, multitasking skills and time managing skills.
• Ability to lift and maneuver equipment weighing up to 50-65lbs.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with the client, team members and other departments.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation and More:

• Competitive Hourly Pay: $22-25/hour
• Schedule: Full-time: Monday to Friday 7am – 3:30pm
• Location: On-site role based in Mt Vernon, WA.
