Job Description

As a Senior Project Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in driving the successful execution of a diverse portfolio of industrial manufacturing capital projects. Your responsibilities will encompass the entire project lifecycle, from inception to completion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and support the execution of multiple capital projects with a combined annual value of $3-10M.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop project scopes, schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
  • Provide technical leadership and oversee engineering design, procurement, construction, and commissioning activities.
  • Ensure adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks, developing contingency plans as needed.
  • Foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Contribute to a safe and efficient work environment.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering
  • Minimum 10 years of engineering experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting
  • Proven project management experience, including successful delivery of projects up to $10M
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including MS Project
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% domestically and internationally
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the building materials industry
  • PMP certification
  • Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and standards

About the Role: This role offers opportunities for career growth into leadership positions such as Principal Project Engineer or Engineering Manager. While the ideal candidate will be based in Scottsboro, AL or Milan, OH, we will consider candidates located in the Littleton, CO Technical Center. The position requires regular on-site presence at our manufacturing facilities, with travel expectations ranging from 30-50%, depending on project demands.

Our Facilities: Most of our manufacturing facilities operate 24/7, with flexibility to adjust schedules based on business needs.

Project Examples: Typical projects include production line upgrades, laminator replacements, and carbon black silo replacements.
