**Job Summary:**
As a Yard Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and organizing the company's yard area. This includes performing regular inspections, cleaning, and upkeep of the yard to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.

ESSENTIAL Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain grass areas, keep trash picked up, keeping grounds always looking neat and orderly
  • Maintaining the placement of machines in the correct area for Service and Sales department
  • Wash machines daily
  • Weekly machine maintenance, thorough complete check to include, starting each machine and recording hours
  • Receiving all incoming machines and attachments
  • Provide the Service Manager and Service Coordinator/Writer with the information you have gathered
  • Pictures must be taken of all items leaving and coming into our yard
  • If machine or attachment is damaged upon arrival, note on movement ticket, take pictures of damage and notify Service Manager/Service Coordinator/Writer
  • Areas swept
  • Oil pans drained
  • Trash cans emptied

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to operate basic yard equipment such as lawn mowers, trimmers and power washers
  • Good communication skills
  • Good, safe work habits
  • Good working knowledge of equipment operations and mechanical functions
  • Organizational Skills
  • Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects
  • Self-Motivated

License(s) or Certification(s) Required:

  • None

Physical Demands and Working Conditions:

  • Heavy work: Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and /or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects
  • Climbing, balancing, stopping, kneeling, crouching, pulling and are frequently required.
  • Talking, hearing, and seeing with close visual acuity are frequently required.
  • Crawling, pushing and fingering are seldom required.
  • The worker is subject to environmental conditions. Protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes.
