Job Summary:
The Production Planner will coordinate schedules and inventories to ensure efficient and effective planning of the Production teams.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
None.

Duties/Responsibilities:
Reviews contract specifications, drawings, sales orders, and other project documents to understand requirements.
Schedules and coordinates work with and of appropriate department staff so that projects are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
Identifies and ensures the availability of materials and supplies.
Acts as liaison with sales, logistics, engineering and manufacturing departments.
Collaborates with these departments to establish schedules and plans that allocate available resources to best serve customer needs.
Participates in periodic forecasting meetings with sales, marketing, and other related departments
Works with weekly cycle counting teams, yearend inventory and other inventory related tasks.
Release production work orders, close and completes work orders and works closely with Manufacturing cells.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints is a plus
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent required; Associates or Bachelors degree in related area preferred.
At least two years of experience in related disciplines including production planning, or assembly work, required.
MRP experience preferred
