The Vascular Technologist is responsible for performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures on patients with vascular disease. The Technologist will work under the supervision of a physician and will be responsible for preparing patients for procedures, operating imaging equipment, and interpreting results.



Responsibilities:



  • Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures on patients with vascular disease
  • Prepare patients for procedures, including shaving, prepping, and draping
  • Operate imaging equipment, such as ultrasound, x-ray, and angiography
  • Interpret results and prepare reports for physicians
  • Maintain equipment and supplies
  • Adhere to all safety and infection control policies and procedures


Qualifications:



  • Qualifications

    1. Current ARDMS Registered Vascular Technologist - (RVT) or CCI Registered Vascular Specialist - (RVS)
    2. CCI Registered Phlebology Sonographer - (RPhS) is a plus.
    3. Prior experience performing all aspects of venous and arterial ultrasound with additional training in venous insufficiency examinations.
    4. Basic understanding of medical necessity as it relates to vascular ultrasound testing, obtaining signed orders from referring physicians, verifying proper indications for exams, etc.
    5. Interpersonal communication skills are a must.
    6. Possess a high degree of respect and confidentiality.
    7. Highly organized

    9. Candidates must have a minimum of 3 year's experience in related areas mentioned in responsibilities.
