Senior Bookkeeper

Milbern Ray is a family owned full service CPA firm that has been in business for 50 years, and is located

in Southlake. We handle a wide array of complex tax matters and all levels of financial reporting

needed. We are currently seeking a full time Senior Bookkeeper to join our dynamic team. This role can

be grown into a higher position within the firm.

What we are looking for:

• Assisting clients with their bookkeeping (primarily QuickBooks).

• Completing quarterly payroll reports and monthly sales tax reports along with annual W2 and

1099 filings.

• Assisting clients with various questions surrounding QuickBooks or their internal accounting.

• Bookkeeping skills to help in preparing Financial Statements for clients that require statements

on a monthly, quarterly or annual basis.

• Review bank reconciliations (monthly or quarterly), review general ledger transactions, make

adjustments as needed, update fixed assets software to assist in the preparation of business tax

returns.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with professionalism and good communication skills

with clients, working as a team with the other bookkeepers, CPAs and partners.

• Must be teachable with a positive attitude and be a team player.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Quick Books, Microsoft Word and Excel.

• Must have a good working understanding of general ledger and financial statements.

• Must be able to understand and prioritize workload based on when work is due and what is

needed.

• Overtime hours are required from January 15th to April 15th, with straight overtime paid for the

additional hours worked.
