Environmental Leader - Global Chemical Company

This role is crucial for managing plant site regulatory and compliance activities related to reclamation, water quality, chemical and waste management, air quality, and environmental management systems. Key Responsibilities:
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all environmental permits and regulatory requirements at local, state, and federal levels.
- Safety Adherence: Uphold all site safety and environmental policies/procedures, including OSHA and MSHA regulations.
- Program Oversight: Lead environmental programs focused on reclamation, water quality, chemical/waste management, air quality, and environmental management.
- Regulatory Guidance: Provide regulatory guidance for production processes, maintenance, and capital projects.
- Agency Communication: Maintain effective communication with regulatory agencies.
- Reporting: Ensure timely and accurate completion of environmental compliance reports.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on regulatory requirements through training and provide technical support for continuous improvement projects and safety initiatives.
- Operational Awareness: Stay informed of day-to-day operations and potential compliance impacts.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Educational Background: BS in Environmental or Chemical Engineering.
- Experience: 5+ years of Environmental Engineering/Leadership experience in a chemical plant or related industrial environment.
- Technical Skills: Expertise in water quality, air emissions stack testing, sustainability, SPCC, and supervision of environmental technicians.
- Work Authorization: Ability to work without sponsorship now or in the future.
