Job Description:

Our client is a specialist in decorative and miscellaneous metals contracting, specializing in stairways, railings, and bespoke metal products for new constructions. We are in search of a proficient CAD Detailer/Drafter with advanced expertise in Miscellaneous Metals and Decorative Metals design and fabrication. This role is an exciting addition to their accomplished team.


Responsibilities:

- Develop comprehensive shop fabrication and erection drawings for miscellaneous metals, stairways, and railing fabrications.

- Collaborate with project managers to address design, detail, and on-site condition concerns effectively.


Required Skills:

- Demonstrated proficiency in miscellaneous metal applications in new construction, including stairways, railings, and familiarity with steel codes, material finishes, and shop preferences.

- In-depth understanding of the intricacies involved in steel construction detailing.

- Ability to identify and resolve design issues prior to fabrication, ensuring optimal project outcomes.

- Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD software, particularly in 2D drafting.

- Effective collaboration with project managers and team members across the detailing and fabrication processes.

- Aptitude in interpreting field dimensions and working closely with project managers to clarify any discrepancies.

- Experience in generating accurate as-built drawing sets.

- Capability to prepare and submit RFIs (Request for Information) and approval drawings promptly.

- Strong communication skills to liaise with contractors and architects as necessary, ensuring the production of timely and precise drawings.

- Minimum 5 years of experience in miscellaneous metals, stairways, railings, and decorative steel detailing using AutoCAD.


Hybrid possible (MUST BE WITHIN 1 Hour from Calvert County MD)


Salary: $26 - $50/Hr. Depending on experience
