JOB SUMMARY:

The Inventory Analyst is a catalyst in the company’s efforts focusing on identifying and working across functional groups to improve the accurate control of network assets. Reporting to the Director, Asset Management, the Inventory Analyst functions as a ‘control tower’ by using data analysis, dashboards, network diagrams and other methods to identify loss and/or lack of control of PECO assets. The Analyst is responsible for understanding, preparing, and analyzing data to provide the organization with actionable insights, support decision-making, improve efficiency and mitigate risk. The Inventory Analyst will execute data projects with a focus on collecting, parsing, managing, and analyzing data sets to turn data into actionable insights. In addition to using existing toolsets, the position is also charged with creating new complex analytics in support of loss measures across the Company. Requires a supply-chain and data analysis background with strong problem-solving skills.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Act as the enterprise asset management control tower. Through utilization of both existing and newly created data analytics tools, assess PECO’s network of pallet flows for areas of concern with regards to asset control and loss. Communicate findings and work cross functionally to create strategic improvement projects to improve enterprise loss performance
  • Be a proponent of Lean and Six Sigma methodologies. Must be able to support lean events (kaizen, gemba) to drive continual improvement and identify root cause of audit variances and assist in the implementation of process improvements and fixes
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to create actionable improvement plans using data analytics applied throughout the PECO pallet supply chain
  • Identify trends and support the efforts to manage audit aging and audit performance improvement through continual enforcement of PECO policies involving control and asset utilization
  • Understand system data flows – EDI, Flat Files, Spreadsheet files exchanged between corporate systems
  • Learn and master the use of PECO’s internal systems, including REDLINK®
  • Analyze the inventory/audit data and work across the service and operations departments to correct inaccuracies and improve the data integrity
  • Establish practices to monitor and identify inventory trends
  • Perform analysis and assist with month end reporting and metrics
  • Identifies, analyzes, and interprets trends and patterns in data sets
  • Support all assigned strategic projects and other duties as needed

EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in a supply chain related field or equivalent job experience
  • Organizational, communication, problem solving, analytical and time management skills
  • Skilled in MS office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, Power Point.)
  • Strong data analytics proficiency
  • Experience with business intelligence tools, e.g. Tableau, MS Power BI
  • Knowledge of Geographic Information System (GIS), cartographic and graphic design principles
  • Skilled at presenting business results and data to senior managers/executives
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills to properly influence internally and externally.
  • Project Management experience including issues/problem resolutions
  • Highest personal and professional integrity.
  • Demonstrated ability to focus, prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects under deadline.

Travel:

• up to 30% based on business needs
