Position: Transporter [1432]

Program: Amarillo, Texas – Reset Diversion

Salary: $15.66/hr.

Shift available: Full-time

Essential duties and responsibilities:

• Staff will maintain ethical and professional communications at all times using respectful Trauma-Informed Care language
• The Transporter has duties that include, but are not limited to, transportation of persons who are engaged with the Reset Diversion Center
• This position will also involve light clerical duties, and other assigned duties, as directed by the supervisor
• The Transporter is responsible for providing supervision and care to clients with a mental health diagnosis
• The Transporter has no financial responsibility but is accountable for assigned property
• Works under the supervision of the Reset Diversion Program Administrator and will work closely with all Reset Diversion staff and individuals served
• Adheres to TPC Business Code of Conduct and reports concerns if ethical and/or business standards defined in the code are compromised

Required qualifications to be successful in the job:

• High school diploma or GED
• One semester (12 credit hours) of accredited college work; or minimum of eighth grade reading comprehension level as evidenced by score on the Adult Basic Learning Examination (ABLE) test
• Must have a valid Texas driver’s license and be insurable under agency vehicle policy
• Must be 18 years of age or older

Preferred qualifications to be successful in the job:

• Bilingual in English and Spanish
• Experience working with individuals who have a mental health diagnosis
• Experience working with individuals who are criminal justice involved
• At least six (6) months of work experience of operating a motor vehicle with multiple passengers and experience in the human services field
• Basic proficiency in the use of desktop/laptop computers
