Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Cabinet Maker to join our team at Dellusso Cabinet Co. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in woodworking, cabinet construction, and a keen eye for detail. As a Cabinet Maker, you will be responsible for crafting and assembling custom cabinets and furniture according to specifications, ensuring high standards of quality and precision. You will assist in manufacturing
Key Responsibilities:
- Cabinet Construction: Build and assemble cabinets and custom woodworking pieces according to detailed plans and specifications.
- Material Handling: Select and prepare materials, including cutting, shaping, and joining wood and other materials.
- Quality Control: Inspect and measure completed pieces to ensure accuracy and adherence to design specifications. Make necessary adjustments to achieve the desired outcome.
- Tools and Equipment: Operate and maintain woodworking tools and machinery, including saws, routers, and sanders, while adhering to safety protocols.
- Collaboration: Work closely with designers, project managers, and other team members to ensure timely and successful project completion.
- Problem Solving: Address and resolve any issues or discrepancies during the construction process, including making repairs or adjustments as needed.
- Customer Service: Provide excellent service and communication to clients when required, ensuring their needs and expectations are met.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience in cabinet making or a related field.
- High School Diploma or equivalent; formal training or certification in woodworking or cabinet making is a plus.
- Must be able to read/use Imperial and metric tape, measure to the nearest 1/32” and 1 mm respectively.
- Experience using woodworking equipment including: planer, jointer, table saw, cut-off saw, shaper/router, sander and drill press
- Proficiency in woodworking techniques, cabinet assembly, and use of hand and power tools. Strong attention to detail and precision.
- Ability to lift heavy materials, stand for extended periods, and perform manual tasks.
- Strong problem-solving abilities, on-time, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
