Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Member of the Cimarron leadership team, with current facilities located in Chickasha, Oklahoma and Manhattan, Kansas.
  • Directs manufacturing operations and management teams for Cimarron, Oklahoma plant that support business goals.
  • Incorporates the organizational strategy and plans for operational safety, regulatory compliance, quality assurance, and cost control policies and programs in manufacturing processes.
  • Monitors production metrics and recommends process improvements, new technologies, and methods to maximize operational efficiency.
  • Manages a team of production leaders.
  • Implements long-term plans for facilities, equipment, materials, technology, and workforce resources to maintain manufacturing capacity and processes.
  • Oversees and participates in the recruitment, hiring, onboarding, disciplinary actions and training of employees.
  • Serves as a valued member of the senior leadership team, collaborating across departments to establish best practices.
  • Presents presentations and reports to executive team members as requested.
  • Ensures a healthy and safe working environment, and compliance with federal and state regulations, through collaboration with EHS staff.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Understanding of manufacturing processes, quality control, and production planning for a multiple department facility.
  • Comfortable managing multi-state manufacturing plants.
  • Knowledge of OSHA, DNR, and EPA regulations
  • Proficiency with computers and various software programs such as Microsoft Office, Acumatica, time and attendance, etc.
  • Demonstrates strong analytical skills to identify and address operational challenges.
  • Ability to lead and motivate teams, manage resources, and make strategic decisions.
  • Demonstrates strong verbal and written communication skills with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and stakeholders.
  • Experience overseeing projects, meeting deadlines and focusing on continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Must excel at working in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of budgeting, cost control, and financial metrics.
  • Demonstrates sound judgment and high-level decision-making.
  • Ability to travel up to 25%.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing or related field and 5+ years of experience in Manufacturing or Operations Management; Master’s Degree in Engineering or Operations Management preferred.
  • Experience in transportation industry, aluminum manufacturing or related industry preferred.
  • Certifications such as a Six Sigma Green Belt or equivalent preferred.

Physical Demands

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Prolonged periods of standing and moving about the manufacturing facilities.
  • Must be able to stand, bend, crawl, stretch, lay and squat in order to maintain equipment.
  • Occasional lifting of items not to exceed 25 lbs.

Personal Protective Equipment:

  • Safety glasses and hearing protection while in shop.
  • Steel toe safety shoes at all times.

Work Environment:

  • Majority of time is spent in a production environment.
  • Travel to Cimarron Kansas facility required occasionally.
  • Exposure to a number of elements, extreme heat & cold, working inside and outside buildings, and loud environments.
